Darlene was such a joy to know. I worked with her for many years, but also had the opportunity to be around her outside of work. I recall going to the Wild west with my former husband with her and Glenn many years ago, a fun time I will cherish. To explain her heart, she offered to come clean my house (during her illness) because I am not able due to my own illness...that is how selfless she was. Heaven gained another Angel. Darlene, you were a small person with a huge presence and a heart of gold. You were always fun at family gatherings, your laughter contagious and your generosity second to none. When our kids were young, you always made sure there was something under the tree for them and when they got older and had their own kids, you made sure there was something under the tree for our grandkids. We grieve the time that we will not get to spend, the four of us together, in our retirement. Our trip to Arizona in November of 2018 was so awesome. Whether it was sightseeing, shopping (of course), showing us your favourite places, or just hanging out at your home, we had a great time, and we all got along so well. We always imagined and hoped that there would be many more great times together. The first time we met you was at our wedding and you felt like family right away. We have loved you from the start. Your leaving us has left a huge hole in our family. Thank you for how well you loved all of us, but especially Glenn and Laurhys. Glenn will no doubt miss you terribly so we promise to care for him the best we can. Thank you for being a part of our family. I'm sure mom amd dad were very surprised when you joined them in heaven. Until we meet again.....love you!
